This agreement applies as between you and Rise Gymnasium Ltd (“Rise Gym”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“Member”, “you”, “your”). By joining, purchasing, or using a membership, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Schedule 1 – Freeze Policy (Summary)
Membership Agreement
A binding contract is formed when:
- You complete your membership application (online or in person)
- You provide direct debit details
- We confirm acceptance of your membership
Membership Types
We offer a range of memberships, including:
- Monthly Direct Debit memberships (1, 6 or 12 months)
- Prepaid memberships
- Discounted memberships (e.g. student, corporate, couples)
Key Conditions
- Memberships are personal and non-transferable
- Proof of eligibility must be provided for discounted memberships
- Failure to provide proof may result in reversion to the full rate
Couples’ Membership
- Treated as a joint pricing structure
- Cannot be partially upgraded/downgraded
- Both members must remain aligned on membership type
- One individual may cancel, but:
- Minimum term must still be completed
- Written notice must be submitted individually
Membership Fees & Payment
- Fees are confirmed at the point of joining
- Payments must be made on time via direct debit
- You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds for Direct Debit collections
Important
- Cancelling your Direct Debit does not cancel your membership
- Access may be suspended if payments are missed
- Persistent non-payment may result in:
- Termination
- Debt recovery action (reasonable costs may apply)
Failed Payments
- Reattempt collection
- Request alternative payment
- Apply reasonable admin fees
Price Changes
Pricing may change due to improvements, including:
- New equipment or training zones
- Additional studios
- Extended opening hours
- Additional services/facilities
Your Rights
- You may cancel before it takes effect
- Standard minimum term conditions still apply
Cancellation Policy
- 1 full calendar month’s notice required
- Notice must be received on the 1st of the month to end that same month
- If received after the 1st, cancellation will apply the following month
Early Cancellation
Permitted with evidence for:
- Relocation (over 20 miles away)
- Medical incapacity (long-term)
- Redundancy
Important
- Cancellation is only valid once confirmed in writing
- Cancelling your Direct Debit alone is not sufficient
Cooling-Off Period
- 14-day cooling-off period applies from your start date
- Refund available (excluding joining fee) if:
- No more than 3 visits have been used
Freezing Memberships
- Injury or illness
- Pregnancy
- Work travel
- Temporary relocation
Key Terms
- Requests must be submitted in writing
- Standard freeze period: 30 days
- Freeze fee: £10/month (unless exempt)
Complimentary Freezes
- Medical reasons
- Pregnancy (up to 9 months)
- Students (term-time, up to 6 months)
- Work-related travel
Notes
- Frozen time does not count toward minimum term
- No access is permitted during a freeze period
Use of Facilities
- Follow all House Rules
- Behave respectfully toward staff and other members
We reserve the right to
- Refuse entry
- Suspend or terminate membership for misconduct
Health & Safety
- You are medically fit to exercise
- You understand the risks involved
Personal Property
- Lockers are provided for convenience only
- Items are stored at your own risk
- We are not liable for loss unless due to negligence
Liability
Nothing excludes liability for:
- Death or injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or unlawful conduct
Data Protection
- UK GDPR
- Our Privacy Policy (available on our website)
Complaints/Queries
- Can be submitted in person or via email
- We aim to respond within 72 hours
Schedule 1 – Freeze Policy (Summary)
- Requests must be submitted by the 20th of the month
- Freeze applies from the following month
- Standard duration: 30 days
- Early return allowed (pro-rata fee applies)
- Freeze must be confirmed in writing
- Access during freeze is not permitted
